Gentle, private pet cremation for Leland families, with your pet cared for from the first call until the day they come home to you.
Perkins Goodbye Hugs provides Leland pet cremation services for families across the western side of the Cape Fear, from Leland and Belville through Navassa and Winnabow. We are a family owned pet aftercare provider, and every pet in our care is treated the way we would want our own treated.
Leland has grown quickly, and a lot of the families who settled here brought a pet with them who had already been part of the household for years. Our Leland pet cremation service is built for those goodbyes, unhurried and handled by people you can reach on the phone.
Whether your pet passed at home or your veterinarian is helping you plan ahead, you can call us directly. There is no wrong time to reach out and no obligation to decide anything on the phone.
Every family grieves differently, so we keep the choices simple and explain them plainly. Take whatever time you need.
Your pet is cremated alone and their ashes are returned to you. This is the option most Leland families choose when they want their pet home with them.
Learn moreA respectful option for families who do not wish to keep ashes. Your pet is cared for with the same dignity from start to finish.
Learn moreClay paw prints, urns, and jewelry that holds a small portion of ashes. Something to keep close long after the day itself.
See keepsakesWe do not hand your pet off to a third party. Pickup, cremation, and return are all handled by us at our own Wilmington facility.
We pick up from homes in the neighborhoods off Highway 17 and from local clinics. Pickup carries a fee, and you are welcome to bring your pet to our Wilmington facility yourself at no charge. Call as early as you can so we can plan the timing with you.
Call and ask anything. We will walk you through the options and timing plainly, and you can take as long as you need to decide.
If it helps to know a little more before you call, these pages cover who we are, how everything works, and the keepsakes families often choose.
Call and we will answer your questions and walk you through the options. If you would like us to come to you, try to call a day or a few days ahead so we can schedule the pickup. If you would rather write, send us a message and we will get back to you.
Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm, Saturday 9am to 2pm. 6709 Netherlands Dr, Suite A, Wilmington, NC 28405.
